Nigerian indigenous rap star and songwriter Phyno reunites with Wande Coal on “Ndewo,” track two of “Let That Sink In.”

The album arrived on October 30, 2026, and it is Phyno’s sixth solo project. It also marks his first major body of work in nearly a decade, since “The Playmaker.” So fans have waited a long time, and the early placement of “Ndewo” suggests he wants to start strong.

Pulse says the song pairs Phyno’s indigenous rap style with Wande Coal’s soulful vocals, and the two blend well. That mix is familiar. Their earlier collaboration “Zamo Zamo” joined Igbo-flavoured rap with Wande Coal’s smooth English singing, over highlife percussion produced by T-Spize. The pair also appeared on the Olamide remix of “Who You Epp?” in 2016. So this reunion builds on a long working relationship.

“Ndewo” is an Igbo greeting, and the title sets a welcoming tone for the album. Phyno has long used Igbo language as his signature, and he keeps it central here. Wande Coal adds a different texture with his Yoruba-rooted cadence and soulful delivery.

Together they show how Nigerian regional styles can share one beat without losing identity.
