Echo Deep – Vusani (Album)

South African producer Echo Deep brings eleven Amapiano recordings together on his new album, Vusani, with several guest collaborators.

The project brings together familiar names from the South African dance music scene. Echo Deep works with JoySoul, Cnethemba Gonelo, Scrooge KMOA, Kevin Chant, Sambo Sq and other collaborators. Rather than relying on one vocalist throughout, he gives different artists room across the album.

One song worth checking out is “Umthandazo,” featuring Cnethemba Gonelo and Scrooge KMOA. The combination brings three different creative contributions into one recording. There is also “Inhliziyo Yami,” where Kevin Chant joins Echo Deep, adding another vocal collaboration to the collection.

Fans who enjoyed his previous work with BeatsYARD will recognise “Asambeni,” which also appears on the album. The two artists have worked together on other releases, including “Heartbeat” and “Juluka.” Their partnership continues here with another extended dance record.

Scrooge KMOA has a particularly strong presence throughout Vusani. Apart from “Umthandazo,” he appears on “Uzozisola (Extended Mix),” “Impilo,” “Groovy 2.0” and “On My Way.” His repeated appearances make him one of the project’s central collaborators.

The album opens with “Intro” before moving into “I Dont Want Nothing,” featuring JoySoul. Other recordings include “Nomalanga” and a radio edit of “Umthandazo.”

Released under Blaq Diamond Boyz Music, Vusani contains 11 tracks with a total runtime of approximately 1 hour and 14 minutes. Echo Deep gives Amapiano listeners plenty of music to explore on this project.
