Nigerian music legend 2Baba is getting ready to release a new album titled Oldest Young Man, his first full-length project in six years.
The forthcoming collection is expected to contain 16 tracks, giving fans plenty to look forward to.
For someone who has spent decades in the Nigerian music industry, 2Baba has seen almost every stage of its growth. He started out with Plantashun Boiz before building a successful solo career. Even after younger artists began dominating the charts, he continued releasing music and working with a new generation of performers.
The album title is particularly interesting. Oldest Young Man sounds like a description of someone who has gathered years of experience but still has the energy to keep going. That idea also reflects 2Baba’s journey in an industry that keeps changing.
His last studio album, Warriors, arrived in 2020. It featured several big names, including Burna Boy, Wizkid, Olamide, Tiwa Savagee and Peruzzi. The project delivered songs such as “Opo,” “Amaka” and “Oyi.”
However, 2Baba has not been sitting idle since then. He released “Kuku Google Am” and later teamed up with Fave on “Mental,” a collaboration that brought his familiar voice together with one of Nigeria’s younger singers.
He also gave selected guests an early preview of Oldest Young Man during a listening party in Lagos. Former Plantashun Boiz member Faze was among those present, and both musicians revisited their early days with a freestyle performance.
The album is scheduled to arrive on November 27, 2026. Its complete tracklist and featured artists are yet to be revealed.
