Pretoria Bacardi-piano pioneer Officixl RSA makes a continental splash with “STANCE OR NOTHING,” a bass-heavy seven-track project pulling from South Africa’s underground car culture and township dance scenes.

This one arrives at exactly the right time. Electronic dance fans, club ravers, and Amapiano heads have been hunting for uncompromising township records that connect hard-hitting log drum bounce with raw street adrenaline – and Officixl RSA builds the entire project around exactly that hunger.

The Pretoria influence runs deep throughout. Deeply shaped by the city’s vibrant car culture and the underground spinning arenas where stance, attitude, and low-slung precision define a whole way of life, Officixl RSA turns that world into sound. So the title isn’t just a phrase – it’s the philosophy behind every track, built to rattle tavern speakers, car systems, and late-night festival stages.

He handles the mammoth project with seasoned arranging finesse and controlled timing throughout. Opener “Amawaladi” ignites things with Jazz Shakes and Nerrow DeMusica trading township cadences over explosive log drums. “Aromete” then pulls back to a solo cut, letting his own sound lead without a feature carrying the weight.

“Bafoo 11 point oww” brings Nerrow DeMusica and Benzoo back for another dancefloor banger, while “BJ ROOM 001” assembles a six-artist powerhouse squad built for block parties. “France 4” and “Kwa Mam Uyang Chaza” round out the back half with smooth, rhythmic grooves.
