South African Afro House legend Oskido links up with vocalist Salima Chica on the five-track EP “Tiki Tiki.”
Oskido does not need an introduction in South African dance music circles – the man has been shaping the sound of the scene for decades. But “Tiki Tiki” still manages to feel like a fresh move rather than a routine release.
The EP sits firmly in Afro House territory, released under the Legend Live imprint with exclusive licensing through Kunye – one of the more respected labels pushing this sound globally.
The original “Tiki Tiki” clearly had enough pull to warrant an expanded version, and the 2.0 treatment keeps the hypnotic groove intact while giving it more room to breathe. Salima Chica’s vocal presence across the project is what ties everything together – she brings a warmth that stops the EP from feeling purely mechanical.
