Ghanaian rapper Showbezzy, popularly known as Showboy, brings together 14 tracks on his new album, Lonely at the Top, with appearances from some familiar names in Ghanaian hip-hop.

The project brings Showbezzy back into the conversation with a collection that touches on street life, personal struggles and the determination to make it. He has been active in Ghana’s rap scene for years, and this album gives listeners a chance to catch up with his latest musical direction.

There are several collaborations worth checking out. Larruso joins him on “One Man Thousand,” while Ypee appears on “Pokua.” He also brings Strongman and Eno Barony together on “Bombo Yiee Pt. 3.” Another interesting pairing comes on “Lowkey,” where dancehall singer Captan joins him.

Lyrical Joe also makes an appearance on “Snitch,” adding another rap collaboration to the collection. Other guest artists include Foreign Girl on “On My Own II” and Starflex Armani on “Bendover.” Showbezzy handles several records on his own, including “Steeze,” “Ajagurajah,” “Spiritual Wife” and “Grind.”

The album also opens with “On My Own II” and includes “Intro” among its closing selections. Across the project, Showbezzy moves between street-hop and Ghanaian hip-hop, keeping his own delivery at the centre.

Showbezzy is associated with the 2Hype Gang and has previously released projects such as Kakaaku and Tactician. With Lonely at the Top, he adds another full-length project to his catalogue.
