Dancehall icon Vybz Kartel returns with a new body of work, “God And Time,” an album filled with raw energy and reflective moments.
The term “God and Time” is quintessential Jamaican street philosophy. It is the embodiment of patience, faith, and the understanding that destiny cannot be rushed nor denied.
For an artist who spent 13 years behind bars before his 2024 release, no album title could fit more perfectly. Because of that context, every track here carries extra emotional weight.
What separates this project from Kartel’s earlier work is the intentional global reach. He links Jamaica to Nigeria through Wizkid, to Puerto Rico through Farruko, and to the wider dancehall diaspora through Spice, Shenseea, Mavado, and Skillibeng. However, none of the crossover ambition dilutes the dancehall centre – Kartel keeps his identity locked throughout.
Produced primarily by TJ Records alongside Kartel, the album reunites the same team behind “Viking” and the RIAA Gold-certified “Fever.” That creative trust shows clearly across the 14 tracks – nothing here feels rushed or assembled for streaming numbers alone.
“God & Time” is Vybz Kartel’s most complete and reflective body of work to date. Stream it now from top to bottom – this one deserves the full experience.
