Los Angeles rapper AZ Chike drops “Lamb Truck Keys,” a solo cut off his album “No Rest for the Wicked.” Pharrell Williams handles the beat, and that alone got people talking.

Chike’s been on a run since the “Burn Rubber Again” days. He’s an American West Coast act, and this album carries the Kendrick co-sign everywhere. Fans on Corus were already calling the beat a heater. One even said Pharrell handed Quavo a weak pack but gave Chike the good stuff. Harsh, but funny.

The production is bouncy and clean. Pharrell’s drums knock without crowding anything. It’s the kind of beat that makes you nod before the first verse lands.

Chike rides it easy. His flow stays loose, a bit cocky, never forced. He sounds like a man who knows the beat is doing half the work and doesn’t mind.

Lyrically, the title points at flexing, luxury and the spoils of the grind. Nothing too deep here, and it doesn’t need to be. It’s swagger with a Lamborghini badge on it.
