Kenyan Afro-pop crooner Bensoul reunites with Ywaya Tajiri on a sensual new record titled “Mariwana.”
Bensoul and Ywaya Tajiri first teamed up on “Send It” and “Kesha.” Ywaya Tajiri also co-wrote those songs, so the chemistry feels natural. Bensoul calls the song an affirmation to women who believe in themselves.
MP Jazbeatz produces the record, and it opens with a stripped-back acoustic guitar. Then a bass-driven groove builds in with percussion and electric drums. Trevor Magak engineers the sound, while Hendrick Sam mixes and masters it. His delivery stays intimate, yet it never feels rushed.
Ywaya Tajiri brings his signature texture and tight harmonies. He also performs in the duo Watendawili, and “Chai ya saa kumi” made him viral. Together, they keep the theme on passion and closeness.
This one works because the sensual theme stays tasteful. Even though it’s adult romance, the mood stays calm and respectful.
