Self-styled “Best Rapper In Africa” Blaqbonez brings in Igwe Aka for a cocky new record titled “I LOVE THIS.” The Nigerian rapper keeps the swagger switched on.
Blaqbonez built his lane on “Sex Over Love,” so a title like this raises eyebrows. Still, the Imo-born rapper has never been predictable. Besides, “Back In Uni” with Jae5 showed he can flip a concept fast.
The beat blends hip-hop knock with Afrobeats swing, and a Caribbean tint sits in the background. Drums hit crisp, while a deep bassline holds the floor. Therefore the record stays loud enough for the club and smooth enough for the car.
Blaqbonez raps with his usual cocky tone and sharp timing. Melodic turns slide in between bars, so the flow never gets stiff. Because he sounds so sure of himself, the boast comes off fun instead of heavy.
Igwe Aka takes the other lane and brings fresh energy. The verse gives the record a second voice, so the track avoids sounding like a solo with a guest. Meanwhile, the mood stays loose and confident, with a clear taste for bragging.
Overall, “I LOVE THIS” feels like Blaqbonez having fun on his own terms. It is direct, loud and quick to learn, so fans of his catalogue will slide right in.
