DrummeRTee924 and TheBunny04 link up again on “The War Drum Machine (TWDM),” a percussion-heavy cut from “The Upcomings.”
This is a heavy one. Both producers share the sound design here. The drum programming is dense, and the groove keeps pushing from the first bar. So nothing about it feels built for background listening.
The mood sits in underground rave territory. Think raw township bounce, late nights, and dancing until the stress wears off. But the record also leans on stamina. It rewards people who stay on the floor.
TheBunny04 is a familiar name on DrummeRTee924’s records. They also worked together on “SGD-Stena Log,” “Jaiva 010,” and “The Earthquake Bassline.” That history helps explain how tightly the two lock in here.
“The Upcomings” runs seven tracks. Collaboration is the whole idea behind it. Other names on the project include Djybee 310, Tailer De Musiq, SilverDeep838, UncleTallz, and Youngckrazy. Still, this record is one of the loudest statements on the tracklist.
It would work well in a workout playlist. It would also suit a weekend warm-up before heading out.
