FOLA’s back with something called “i miss u ii.” If you’ve been following him, you’ll remember “Miss You!” from back in 2023, so this one’s picking that thread back up, years later.
Dude’s had a real arc too. He blew up properly in 2024 with “Alone,” then dropped his debut album “Catharsis” in 2025, which was basically him working through romance and longing across the whole project.
That album already had him sitting in that same emotional space, “lost” especially leaned into dependence and holding on to someone. So a sequel titled “i miss u ii” isn’t coming out of nowhere, it’s him continuing a story he’s already been telling.
Sound-wise, expect that same warm, stripped-back FOLA approach, the one that made “You” work so well. Gentle rhythms, soulful chords, nothing overdone, just enough space for his voice to actually carry the song.
He’s not really a vocal-runs, show-off type singer, he leans into restraint and lets the honesty in his delivery do the work. That’s basically been his whole appeal since “Ginger Me.”
Given it’s a sequel, this one’s probably revisiting that same absence or unresolved feeling from before, maybe the same person, maybe just the same ache showing up again. That kind of continuity tracks with how he’s built his catalog so far.
By the end, it plays like another sincere entry from someone who’s made a whole lane out of sounding genuinely vulnerable. Not flashy, just honest.
