American rapper Future brings together Drake, Travis Scott and Loe Shimmy on “Ya Hit,” a surprise collaboration that has hip-hop fans talking.

Getting these four artists on one record is already enough to attract attention. Future leads the release, while Loe Shimmy handles the chorus before the other rappers take their turns. Travis Scott brings his familiar melodic rap delivery, and Drake adds a verse that has already generated conversations online.

One particular moment from Drake’s appearance has caught listeners’ attention. He throws a subliminal line at an unnamed rival, suggesting that the person’s album is no longer improving and should simply be submitted. He doesn’t mention anybody by name, leaving fans to debate who the lyrics might be directed at.

Future also comes with his usual talk about money, relationships and his lifestyle. Travis Scott adds his contribution, while Sexyy Red can be heard providing additional vocal ad-libs during Drake’s section.

The production comes from ATL Jacob, who builds the instrumental around distorted bass, heavy 808s and dark synth sounds. Mike Dean handles the mastering, giving the recording its final polish.

There is also an interesting story behind the collaboration. Future reportedly previewed the song at Drake’s 40th birthday celebration in New York before Drake joined the recording. It marks another major moment in their relationship following their public fallout in 2024.

“Ya Hit” arrives as the lead single from Future’s forthcoming album INFINITY. The track runs for 3 minutes and 34 seconds and is released through Epic Records.
