FOLA’s trajectory also gives this placement real significance. His “Catharsis” debut album hit number one on the Nigerian Albums chart and earned a Headies Album of the Year nomination. His “B4 B4” appearance alongside Kizz Daniel and Mayorkun on Davido’s Oriadé album confirmed he belongs in the most competitive collaborative conversations in Nigerian music right now. So arriving at track two on Radio Gidi is not a surprise move from the sidelines. It is FOLA stepping into a position he has earned track by track across the past two years.
Placing him right after the solo opener “48hrs” is also a quiet statement about how Kizz Daniel views this particular creative relationship. An album carrying Tinie Tempah, BNXN, and Shatta Wale reserves its second slot for FOLA – not for the biggest internationally recognised name. That sequencing says the record matters more than the profile.
