South African singer-songwriter and creative force Kwanda MusiQ closes out his eight-track “I AM ART II” project on a deeply emotive note with “Poizen (Deep Feel),” featuring the award-winning Mzostra on a record that hits differently.

Saving this one for last on the project was clearly a deliberate choice. “Poizen (Deep Feel)” carries the weight of a closing statement – the kind of song that wraps an entire body of work in feeling rather than noise. It does not rush, and that patience is exactly what makes it work.

Production duties fall to Sbonelo Phungula and Oratile Mpofu, and the two handle the sonic landscape with care. The beat has a soft but persistent pull to it – the kind of Amapiano influenced arrangement that sets an atmosphere without overwhelming the vocals. Everything feels intentional and unhurried.

Kwanda MusiQ delivers here with a rawness that suits the deep-feel tag in the title. His vocal approach on this track leans into vulnerability, and it does not feel forced at all. He sounds like someone who actually lived what he is singing about.

Mzostra steps in and holds the space with equal weight. The verse blends seamlessly into the overall mood of the record, adding texture without shifting the emotional centre of gravity. The chemistry between the two feels natural rather than assembled.

As the final chapter of “I AM ART II,” this record does everything a closing track should do. It lingers after the music stops, which is honestly the best thing any song can do to a listener.
