Ten tracks in, and “Survival” pulls Kweku Smoke right back to where this whole run started.
Drums tighten back up here, closer to “Life Of A Hustler” than anything recent, bassline heavy again after all that lighter ground in between. The grind’s clearly still there, underneath everything else this run touched.
His delivery sharpens too, less easy than “Okwantunii,” more urgent again like the stakes just came back into focus. Nothing settled about this one, even after healing and gratitude and lightness got their turn.
Full circle now, basically. Hustle led to pain, pain to correction, correction to refusal, and eventually to praise and ease, but survival’s still the thing underneath all of it.
