South African deep house veteran Ladi Adiosoul joins forces with Spumante on a smooth new single titled “CITY INK,” lifted from their joint EP of the same name.
Ladi Adiosoul has been a quiet force in South African house music since the early 2000s. Coming out of Vosloorus, Johannesburg, he has built a reputation for soulful, layered productions that never feel rushed. Teaming up with Spumante for a full collaborative EP was always going to be interesting – and “CITY INK” gives you a clear idea of why.
The record carries an urban warmth to it. It feels like Johannesburg at night – busy but smooth, familiar but alive. Ladi brings his signature deep house sensibility while Spumante adds another dimension that keeps the energy moving without overdoing it.
“CITY INK” is also the title track of their three-track EP, which also features EMOYENI with Smanga 9000 and Xolile Nxumalo, and Letter to My Friend with GUMI. So this is not just a single – it is an introduction to a full project worth exploring.
