Toronto R&B favourites Majid Jordan kicked off a brand new chapter earlier this year with a sleek single titled “Cold.”
The OVO Sound duo dropped this one back in May, and it set the tone for everything that followed – including the more recent “See You Again.” But “Cold” deserves its own moment. It came during a strong run for the pair, right after a JUNO Award nomination for their 2024 track “Life 2” and a Subway Takes appearance that racked up nearly six million views.
Sonically, “Cold” sits in that sweet spot Majid Jordan have always owned. It feels emotional and danceable at the same time. The song deals with loneliness and craving real connection, yet the energy never drags. Alex Lustig handled co-production alongside Jordan Ullman, and Clementine Douglas contributed additional vocals too. So the creative circle on this one runs deep.
