South Africa’s biggest rapper known as Nasty C comes through with a massive new single named Come Over
The T’s and C’s Apply project has been one of the more anticipated collaborations in African music this year. The title cleverly plays on the familiar phrase while folding both artists’ names into the concept — and it represents something fans of both Nasty C and Tellaman have been waiting for. As two of Durban’s most influential artists, these two have been building toward a joint project for years. “Come Over” is the second single from that rollout and it raises the stakes considerably.
Pulling in Oxlade was the right call. His vocal warmth brings a Nigerian melodic softness that sits beautifully against Nasty C’s confident lyrical precision and Tellaman’s signature R&B energy. The three voices find a natural balance without any one of them pulling the record in a direction the others cannot follow. That cross-border chemistry gives “Come Over” a wider appeal than a purely South African hip-hop record would carry on its own.
The EP itself only runs four tracks — with AyandaMVP also appearing on the intro alongside Nasty C and Tellaman. So every song carries weight. Nothing is filler. And “Come Over” proves why this collab deserved to happen in the way it did — as a full joint project rather than just a one-off feature.
