South African hip-hop star Nasty C keeps the momentum going with “Freak,” another chapter in his ongoing partnership with Tellaman on the “T’s & C’s Apply” project.
Their collaboration goes back nearly a decade at this point. Tellaman first appeared on Nasty C’s 2016 debut “Bad Hair,” alongside guests like Riky Rick and Rowlene, so this current run of tracks continues one of South African hip-hop’s longest-running creative partnerships. “Nasty C Freak” carries that same chemistry, with Tellaman’s smoother melodic delivery working against Nasty C’s sharper, more rhythmic flow throughout.
His most recent full-length, “Free,” became the fastest South African hip-hop project of 2025 to cross a million streams on Spotify. But “T’s & C’s Apply” plays differently. It reads less like a solo victory lap and more like Nasty C stepping back to let a longtime creative bond drive the entire record.
