Ghanaian music trio No Nation Gang returns with a fresh new single titled “Disco” to add to a catalogue that continues to grow purposefully.
Made up of Zubu, Second Paa, and Badone Sticky, No Nation Gang hail from the suburbs of Elmina in Ghana’s Central Region. The group has been vocal about the challenges facing upcoming artists in the music industry. But instead of waiting for doors to open, they have kept releasing music and letting the work speak for itself. Their earlier single “Hallelujah” showed the group leaning into inspirational territory. “Disco” takes a different angle.
The title suggests a lighter, groove-driven direction. So while their catalogue has covered drill-influenced sounds and motivational themes, “No Nation Gang Disco” shows the trio is not boxed into one sound. That kind of range is what keeps independent groups relevant beyond their debut moments.
Badone Sticky has previously described their music as drill songs built to inspire people to chase their dreams. But “Disco” sounds like a record made purely to move a crowd. Sometimes that is also enough of a reason to make a record.
“No Nation Gang – Disco” is available for streaming and download now.
