Nigerian DJ and producer Professional Beat drops a lively cruise beat titled “Afuye 2 in 1.” It runs just over two minutes.
Cruise beat has become a street party staple, thanks to DJs and dance videos. Professional Beat broke through in 2021 with “Kala (Beat),” so he already knows this lane. In 2023, a Pan African Music DJ session on cruise beat also featured his work.
The title says two in one, but it plays as a single recording. Yoruba percussion meets modern Afrobeats production, so the rhythm feels rooted and fresh. He builds small switches into the loop, so dancers always have something new. DJs rely on his sound, so he knows when to push and when to pause.
This is built as a beat first, so the rhythm does most of the talking. The loop suits dance clips, because short clips need strong hooks. Meanwhile, the short runtime fits quick transitions between songs.
This one works because it knows its job: keep the floor moving. Although it’s short, it fits street parties, dance clips and DJ sets.
