Nigerian singer Promise Ebelechukwu turns grateful on a heartfelt new record titled “Favoured.” The song shifts from the dance floor to praise.
The artist’s Igbo name points to God’s blessing, so a title about favour fits naturally. After “Body Go Talk,” this track slows the mood and shows a spiritual side. Besides, thanksgiving songs always find an audience in Nigeria.
Soft drums, a gentle bass and glowing keys shape the beat. A light guitar line adds colour, while subtle claps keep the pulse. As a result, the sound feels reverent but still lifting.
Promise Ebelechukwu sings with calm control and plenty of feeling. It keeps the sound simple, so the lyrics stay in focus. Fans of Afro-gospel and soft Afropop will find it comforting.
