Nigerian street-hop singer TML Vibez keeps it solo on “Gentleman,” the sixth track on “A Street Kid’s Diary (Disc 2).”
Demmy produced the record, and the beat sits on the Afrobeats base that runs through much of the album. That gives TML Vibez room to lean on his melodic, street-rooted voice. There is no featured artist, so every line comes from him.
The placement is smart. “Gentleman” follows “Diamond or Gold,” which already landed on TheCable’s Nigerian radio picks in September. Together, the two solo cuts make a quiet pocket in the middle of an album stacked with guests. Then “Shuperu” with Ayo Maff and Shoday arrives at track seven and lifts the energy again.
The title carries an easy swagger. A gentleman is calm, polite, and sure of himself, and the song seems built around that mood. It does not shout. It sounds relaxed and confident, which suits a singer who knows the audience is already listening.
Sequels often get judged against the first project. This one answers by showing range, with guests, solo moments, and a big production team behind it.
Run “Gentleman” and tell us – does TML Vibez wear the title well?
