Gospel songwriter Ty Bello leans on Ellie Scotte and Leke Alder for a humble record titled “Nothing without you.” It’s track sixteen on her “I Speak Lamb” album.
Ty Bello is Nigerian, and this track belongs to the final stretch of a 20-track project. The title admits dependence on God, so the mood is humble from the first line. Ellie Scotte also appears on “Ya Yesu” and “Oba Alanu,” so she is a regular on the project.
The sound stays soft and intimate, so it feels like a late night prayer. Warm instruments guide the song, while the voices blend over them. At no point does it rush, because the theme calls for patience.
Ty Bello sings with quiet honesty and a calm, low tone. She admits need without drama, so the prayer feels real. Her phrasing leaves small gaps, and those gaps invite reflection.
Ellie Scotte adds a bright, clear voice, and it lifts the chorus. Leke Alder joins as a complementary voice, so the sound gains depth. Together, the guests make the prayer feel shared.
This one works because the title says what the song means. Even with little show, the humility is enough.
