Nigerian singer and stage performer Victor AD brings Wizard Chan onto “War,” one of the darker moments on his new “The Therapist” EP.
Wizard Chan has become one of the most in-demand alternative voices in Nigerian music right now. His name has appeared alongside Swayvee, Kunmie, Boy Spyce, and Aguero Banks in recent months alone. So his presence on Victor AD’s project confirms just how much industry attention his Afro-Teme sound has earned since “Earth Song” won him Headies recognition back in 2023.
Conflict works here as a metaphor for survival, not literal combat. Victor AD builds “War” around struggle, pressure, and the determination to keep pushing through difficult seasons. Also, that reflective mood fits naturally within “The Therapist,” an EP that also houses tracks like “Monaco,” “Level,” and “Only God.”
Victor AD’s own catalogue stretches back to “Wetin We Gain” in 2018, and collaborations with Patoranking and Timaya show he’s built lasting relationships across Nigerian music. But “War” feels like one of his more emotionally direct records in recent memory.
