Lagos artist Waziyung kicks off life at Zinoleesky’s new label Zinodict Music with “Fuji Vibe,” a fresh Afrosounds single.
He is the label’s first signee, so this single carries extra weight. Zinoleesky started Zinodict Music this year after leaving Marlian Music, and he introduced Waziyung as “young and gifted.” His old boss joined in too. Naira Marley commented “Up next” under the announcement, which got fans talking. So the first release already has a story around it.
The record runs two minutes and 27 seconds, and the title says what it does. Waziyung borrows the spirit of Fuji and mixes it into Afrosounds street-pop. Early reactions call it classic, and the short runtime keeps it punchy. Nothing drags.
Waziyung, who also goes by Waziwave, has been building steadily in Lagos. His 2023 project “Determination And Focus” came first. Songs like “FESTIVO,” “Olomi” with Lil Shappi, “My Life,” and “Happiness” followed. He has worked with Little Zino, Lil Shappi, and Billirano, and he belongs to the NBV Squad. His music has passed two million plays on Audiomack.
