“Namleta” is Whozu way of turning one of the most personal moments of his life into music, and the result is really touching.

Released on June 13, 2026, “Namleta” serves as a musical welcome for his first child with Wema Sepetu, a baby boy born just a day before the song dropped. The timing says everything. Whozu didn’t wait. He went straight into the studio and let the emotion out while it was still fresh.

The song is about thankfulness and parenthood, rejoicing at the gift of a child from God. Lines such as “niliomba Mungu anipe wewe zawadi na akanipa” describe answered prayer in what feels like a very personal and not performed way. The music video takes this even further with intimate scenes in hospital after delivery and emotional scenes of the first hours with the newborn.

Known for street records like “Huendi Mbinguni” and “Roboti,” this softer, more vulnerable side of Whozu feels completely genuine. “Whozu – Namleta” isn’t about music industry positioning. It’s a father introducing his son to the world through the only language he knows best.

Stream “Whozu – Namleta” and feel every bit of that energy.
