South African DJ and entrepreneur DJ Zinhle pulls in Thobani White and Nayvee Womculo on “Uthando,” one of the standout tracks from her self-titled “ZINHLE” EP.

“Uthando” means “love” in Zulu. But DJ Zinhle does not approach the concept gently. She wraps it in warm Afro House production that moves with real purpose – the kind of record that belongs in both a late-night club set and a Sunday morning playlist without adjusting a single layer.

Thobani White has become one of DJ Zinhle’s most trusted creative partners. He appears across multiple tracks on the ZINHLE EP, which tells you this is not a convenient feature arrangement. The working relationship has depth. His vocal texture on “Uthando” carries the emotional warmth the song needs while Nayvee Womculo adds a complementary layer that gives the record its full body. Because Afro House lives or dies on its vocal choices – and both artists here understand exactly what the groove needs from them.

The ZINHLE EP blends Afro House, Afro Tech, and Gqom across its eight tracks. So “Uthando” sits within a project already showing serious range. Yet it never sounds like it is competing with the louder, more aggressive tracks around it. It holds its own through feeling rather than force.

DJ Zinhle dropped this EP ahead of Zee Nation Fest, which means every track on it serves as both a personal creative statement and a live performance setup. “Uthando” fits that dual purpose cleanly – it sounds just as good in an arena as it does through a car speaker on a quiet evening.

This is DJ Zinhle operating exactly in her element. Go stream “Uthando” and decide if it belongs among her best work yet.
