South African Lekompo artist PLG Chanty celebrates a landmark year with “20Chanty6,” a five-track EP featuring Makhadzi, Focalistic, J-Smash, TallexQ, King Master, and more.
The title says it all. 2026 has been PLG Chanty’s year – and this EP arrives as both a celebration and a statement. She is not wrapping up 2026 quietly. She is marking it with a project that carries some of her biggest collaborative names to date and some of the most infectious Lekompo energy her catalogue has produced.
“Poverty (Mu Litsheni)” with Makhadzi Entertainment, J-Smash, and TallexQ is the heavyweight moment on the project. Getting Makhadzi on a record is never a casual arrangement – the energy she brings demands matching, and PLG Chanty delivers. “Stofi Stofoza” with King Master already started building momentum before the EP dropped. But the “Stofi Stofoza 2.0” with Focalistic and King Master elevates the original completely. Landing Focalistic as a featured artist confirms this EP is not staying regional.
“Thobela” with Mr Diego opens the project on a warmly traditional note before the bigger features arrive. “Ke Boss” with Natiey Lepaka and Chantonic Soul WAfrica then adds a confident swagger that ties the whole project together culturally before the closing 2.0 ramp-up.
