Tanzanian Singeli producer Adasco M2 M’bad links up with Sele Minamba on a melodic new single titled “Mapenzi,” released August 18, 2026.
He built his reputation through street-facing collabs like “Nampenda Yeye” with Chief Killer and “My Darling” with Stizo, but this record sits in softer territory – love over adrenaline for once.
Between “Kwajili Yake” with Formseven and her own “Sherehe,” she’s been one of the more consistently present female voices across Tanzania’s Singeli and Bongo Flava crossover space in 2026. Her chemistry with Adasco isn’t brand new either – they’ve shared the same creative circles long enough that “Mapenzi” doesn’t sound like two strangers reading from separate scripts.
The record leans on warmth rather than tempo, which is exactly the right call for a love song coming from a producer whose usual output hits much harder. That contrast actually gives “Mapenzi” its character – a Singeli producer slowing down enough to say something tender, paired with a vocalist who sounds comfortable in that pace.
