Nigerian-American producer DJ Tunez puts together “In Tunez We Trust Vol. 1,” an EP with Wizkid, FOLA and more.
The guest list is the real story here. Wizkid, Seyi Vibez, ODUMODUBLVCK, FOLA, Tay Iwar, Kemuel, and Mannywellz all appear. DJ Tunez spent nearly two years building the project, and he picked the lineup carefully. He wants established names and rising voices to share space, and the mix covers Afrobeats, alternative soul, R&B, and street-hop.
Fans have already heard a few pieces. “State of Mind” brings Wizkid and Kemuel together, and “Easy With Me” pairs Wizkid with ODUMODUBLVCK. “STINGY” adds Daecolm, Khaid, and Kemuel. That early run shows how the EP will move, from smooth vocals to heavier rap, without losing a shared feel. Kemuel appears on two of those songs, so he looks like a key voice.
DJ Tunez has earned this kind of lineup. He is Wizkid’s tour DJ, and he helped shape “Iskaba” and “Cotton Candy” with Leriq and Burna Boy. He grew up in a home with African and Caribbean music, and his father’s big Afro collection shaped his ear early.
The full tracklist has not been shared yet, so the surprises remain. Still, the early singles suggest a polished, wide-ranging project.
