Kolaboy turns to gratitude on “Blessings,” a collaboration with REF Music and the sixth track on his debut album.

The title is simple, and it fits the mood. Blessings means appreciation, progress, and the good things people notice in their lives. Kolaboy does not need heavy wording to make the point. The plain title leaves space for the lyrics to carry the meaning, and the song stays warm.

REF Music brings the main collaborative colour. The guest adds a second voice to the theme, so the record feels shared instead of solo. Kolaboy keeps his indigenous identity at the centre, and that keeps the song grounded in Eastern Nigeria.

Its spot on the tracklist helps. “Blessings” follows “Onu” with YungKeb and comes before “Time Shall Tell” with MOEC. That puts it near the middle of the album, where the mood moves from reflection toward thanks. A grateful track at this point gives the project a calm, hopeful beat.

Odia Records Limited released the album, and it shows Kolaboy’s debut covering faith, values, and street life. “Blessings” sits comfortably in that mix.

For listeners who want an indigenous rap song with a positive message, this one is an easy pick.
