Indigenous rap star Kolaboy delivers his debut album, “Nwa Nwanyi Deeper Life,” a 13-track mix of faith and street life.

The title comes from a real place. Kolaboy grew up with a Deeper Life mother, and he used to pretend to take notes in church while he wrote rap lines. Now that childhood becomes the frame for a full project. It follows the push and pull between church modesty and the pressure of street hustle, with romance, family, and gratitude woven in.

The sound stays rooted in the East. Indigenous rap, Afro-drill, and highlife touches share the same space, while Igbo lyricism keeps the storytelling close to home. Humour and wisdom sit side by side, so the album never feels heavy for too long. Odia Records released it, and the sequencing moves between solo moments and guest spots with care.

The guests suit the story. Evado opens the run on “Believer” and returns later on “Oga Eme.” Paddy K, YungKeb, Rabbai, REF Music, MOEC, JeriQ, Aguero Banks, Hugo P, Morravey, and Hynezz each get a turn. Because of that, the album feels like a gathering of Eastern Nigerian voices around one idea.

For fans of indigenous rap who wanted a proper debut, this one delivers a full world, not just a few singles.
