Nigerian rapper 6UFF reunites with ODUMODUBLVCK on “SALT,” a follow-up to their earlier hit “10 MINUTES” that already has fans buzzing.
Social media teasers built the excitement. ODUMODUBLVCK confirmed he had recorded his verse, and he did it with a joke. He said he told 6UFF not to pay his usual $30,000 feature fee because he enjoyed the song so much. It was playful, but it also showed real love for the record. Rappers rarely joke about waiving a fee unless they feel the track is good.
6UFF’s preview gave a glimpse of the writing. The lines compare life’s sweetness with the warnings and troubles that can follow, and the title’s salt imagery fits that contrast. So the song seems to balance fun with caution. The preview also kept the street language close, which suits both rappers.
The pairing makes sense. ODUMODUBLVCK comes from Abuja and belongs to the Anti World Gangstars collective. He built his name on hard-hitting rap with melody, as on the “Eziokwu” mixtape and “Funds” with Davido and Chike. 6UFF brings a fresh energy to the same lane, and their first record together proved the mix works. A second link-up shows the chemistry was not a one-off.
For Nigerian rap fans who like street talk with a sharp sense of humour, “SALT” looks like a record to watch.
