Alternative R&B singer and producer Tay Iwar floats back with a hazy new record titled “WONDERFUL.” The Nigerian act keeps things personal and close to the chest.
Tay Iwar has never chased the loud side of Nigerian music. Instead, he works from the left field, where mood matters more than chart trends. That is why each drop from him feels like a small secret.
He also produces, so the sound feels hand-built. Layered synths drift over a slow drum loop, and the low end hums underneath.
His vocals stay airy and slightly blurred at the edges. He sings in short phrases, and the harmonies stack up behind him.
The message is about happiness found in a simple moment. Still, the lyrics add small details that keep it grounded.
Nothing here is built to go viral. Yet the record holds attention because the mood never breaks.
