Nigerian producer KRL Soundz teams up with fast-rising singer Mavo on “Happy Birthday,” a special release celebrating the singer’s birthday.
There is a personal reason behind this release. Mavo marks his 23rd birthday with new music, and rather than letting the occasion pass quietly, he gets a dedicated song through this collaboration. KRL Soundz takes the lead on the recording, bringing Mavo into the celebration.
“Happy Birthday” is part of a two-track project titled HBD. The collection also includes “Today,” another collaboration featuring Mavo and Kadi. While the birthday record focuses on the occasion, its companion track takes a different direction with a romantic theme.
Ufedo handled the production of “Happy Birthday,” giving the recording its instrumental foundation. Mavo, whose full name is Oseremen Marvin, contributes to the performance and songwriting. His involvement makes the release more personal, especially considering the reason behind the project.
The song runs for approximately 3 minutes and 20 seconds. It was released through Kilogbede Records Limited, with KRL Soundz bringing the two recordings together under the HBD title.
For Mavo, this is another opportunity to give his growing audience something new while celebrating an important personal milestone. Fans who have been following his recent releases can also check out “Today” to hear the other side of the birthday project.
The HBD package is short, but both songs give listeners something different to explore.
