BNXN – Still In Charge (Album)

Nigerian Afropop star BNXN reasserts his position on his new six-track project, “Still In Charge.” Asake and FOLA appear as the only guests.

BNXN also keeps things short, with about seventeen minutes of music. The sound stays in Afrobeats and Afro-fusion territory, with smooth melodies on top. Because the tracklist is short, the project moves quickly from one mood to the next. T.Y.E. and EMPIRE handle the release, so the rollout has strong backing.

BNXN carries four of the six songs alone, including “Online” and “Deliberate Work.” His melodic writing stays front and centre, and his voice sounds relaxed. That keeps the mood cool and confident.
