Nigerian street rapper Damskeybugatti joins forces with Eastern rap heavyweight Ofour2 on a four-track joint EP titled “Street & Capital” – and the project lands exactly where fans of gritty Nigerian rap need it to.
The concept is clear from the title alone. Street reality and financial ambition sitting side by side. So the EP does not try to romanticise struggle or pretend the hustle is glamorous. Instead, both rappers own the tension between where they came from and where they are headed. That honesty gives the project its backbone.
The production blends classic East Highlife rhythms with modern trap drum kits. Sharp ogene bell sounds drive the percussion while booming sub-bass keeps the low end locked throughout. But the mix stays clean. So both lyricists come through clearly on every track rather than fighting the beat for space.
Damskeybugatti leads with a raspy, confident delivery and Igbo street slang that hits differently when it comes from someone who actually grew up around those words. Ofour2 brings a snappier flow and creative wordplay that adds a different texture. Because joint projects live or die on contrast – two artists who sound identical make the collaboration pointless. These two sound distinct, yet pull in the same direction.
The four tracks move quickly but efficiently. “O Your Way,” “Ave Maria,” “Ego Overdose,” and “Egom Ezube” each carry their own personality while serving the project’s overall theme of loyalty, financial freedom, and street survival.
