South African Amapiano singer Jobe London returns with “Lacadoli & Friends Vol. 2,” a four-track EP packed with guest voices.
The EP picks up the idea of his 2022 project “Lacadoli & Friends,” which had eight songs and landed after fans wondered whether he was still around. That first volume answered the question. This sequel keeps the “friends” concept but trims it down, so the guest list is long while the tracklist stays short.
Tycoon joins him on “Macala,” the opener. King P brings Jayden Lanii, 2woshort, and ExzyBeatz on “Eb’suku,” so the second track feels like a small crew session. DJ Sicky then arrives with Fan’Donder and Hloxic on “Mabalandwe.” Hloxic returns on “Akakhuzeki,” this time with Konke Simelane and Keano, and that repeat appearance links the back half together.
Because every song has a different lineup, each track has its own flavour. Yet Jobe London stays at the centre, and his voice ties the set together. A tight four-song format also keeps the project from running long, which suits Amapiano fans who like to play an EP straight through.
Ten guests across four songs says a lot about his network. Producers, DJs, and singers all get a spot, and nobody takes over.
