Kumasi-born Rufftown Records singer and songwriter Baba Tundey steps out with a smooth new street-love record titled “Gangster Love,” produced by Mirakilouz Beatz.

Baba Tundey has been one of the more consistent independent voices coming out of Ghana in recent years. His 2026 has already included “Street is My Father,” “Lambo Key,” “Playboy,” and his Lessons Written in Melodies project. So “Gangster Love” is not a standalone moment – it is another entry from an artist who clearly has something to prove and the work ethic to back it up.

The concept behind the song is one that hits close to home for a lot of people. It is about finding real love inside a tough life – staying loyal to someone who holds you down while the streets demand everything else from you. That tension between hardness and softness is something Baba Tundey navigates well, because he writes from a place that feels lived in.

Mirakilouz Beatz builds a warm, atmospheric foundation for the record. The groove sits somewhere between contemporary Afrobeats and West African street pop – accessible enough for a wide audience but with enough grit to stay true to where Baba Tundey comes from.

“Gangster Love” also follows his earlier collab with Jay Bahd on “Anastasia,” which showed he can hold his own alongside established names in the Ghanaian music space. Stream “Gangster Love” and see why Baba Tundey keeps building one record at a time.
