Chef 187 didn’t have to look far for his latest single. He tapped Blake for “Clock It,” a move that makes perfect sense because the two already clicked on “Nobody” from the “Broke Nolunkumbwa” project.

That shared history means they don’t waste time trying to find a groove here. They just fall right back into it.

King Nachi of KNB Records produced the track, and Director Brown stepped in for the visuals. The setup works well. Chef 187 sounds completely in his element on the verses, delivering with the kind of quiet confidence you only get from years on the mic. Blake comes through with the melodic parts, and his presence keeps the song from feeling like a straight-up rap track. They balance each other out nicely.

It’s also worth noting this is only Chef 187’s second official single of 2026. He isn’t rushing to dump a whole album on fans just yet. He’s picking his spots, and linking up with Blake again feels like a safe, solid play rather than a stretch.

Spin “Clock It” and let me know if you think it tops their first link-up.
