Cheque adds “KOSOMONA” to the “Yazi (Deluxe)” project, dropping July 17 as one of four new tracks on the expanded version.
The original “Yazi” arrived in January with seven songs including “Booming,” “Zodiac,” and “Goodbye.” But the deluxe edition pushes the project to eleven tracks. So “KOSOMONA” isn’t just a random single. It lives within the bigger world Cheque already built earlier this year.
This solo record gives him space to extend the “Yazi” conversation without needing another voice beside him. Since “Zoom” first put him on the map, Cheque has always moved between melodic rap and Afropop naturally. “KOSOMONA” continues that pattern without forcing anything new.
Also, sitting alongside “GOODBYE II” with Goyo and “ZODIAC II” with Blaqbonez on the deluxe edition, it adds a quieter, more personal moment between two bigger collaborative records. That balance keeps the expanded project from feeling like just a bonus dump.
