Few artists in South Africa’s underground Amapiano scene have built chemistry the way DjY Mow Sa and Vibekulture Sa have, and “Into My Eyes” brings Lethabile 012 into that world for a fresh three-way collaboration.
DjY Mow Sa and Vibekulture Sa have been building together consistently since their “Mow’Vibe” project and records like “Code 234” and “Rambo.” So this isn’t two producers meeting for the first time. Also, Lethabile 012 has crossed paths with DjY Mow Sa before on “NAZOKE,” which means the trust in the studio already existed before this record happened.
“Into My Eyes” sits in that deep, soulful Amapiano space both producers are known for. The groove stays patient and warm throughout. But Lethabile 012’s vocal contribution gives the record an emotional depth that purely instrumental tracks from this circle sometimes miss.
