South African Amapiano act HBK Live Act reunites with Nicco NK and Way Kay on a smooth new single titled “Seku Late.”
This trio has genuine history behind it. Way Kay and Nicco NK first appeared together on HBK Live Act’s “Kwa Gae” back in 2024, and all three later worked together on “Tjwala Bam Bafethu” alongside DJ Promatic SA. So “Seku Late” is not a convenience pairing – it is three artists who already know each other’s styles well enough to move together without friction on the record.
The title itself sets the mood before the first beat drops. “Seku Late” – meaning “it’s already late” – points toward that familiar late-night Amapiano energy. Nights that started early and stretched past any reasonable hour. HBK Live Act captures that atmosphere with infectious rhythm and melodies built for exactly that moment, while Nicco NK and Way Kay add the vocal smoothness that has become a signature of their collaborative chemistry.
HBK Live Act has been quietly consistent through 2025 and into 2026, racking up over 179,000 monthly Spotify listeners while releasing records like “Body Jwala” and “Sghubu sa Strata” with Way Kay. But “Seku Late” sounds like one of the more relaxed and assured records in that run, like an artist who knows his sound well and is no longer chasing it.
Stream “Seku Late” and tell us in the comments – does this one capture that late-night Amapiano feeling for you?
