Nigerian singer, songwriter and producer Kaestyle closes his fifteen-track debut album with its title track, “Stylish.”
The name carries more weight than it first suggests. Kaestyle has described the record as inspired by Port Harcourt’s street fashion scene, a city he calls one of extremes. Violence sits close to wealth there, love close to loss, survival close to ambition. So “Kaestyle Stylish” becomes less about clothing and more about navigating those contradictions with a certain confidence, an attitude that carries through the whole album’s genre-blending approach.
The project itself splits cleanly into two halves. Side A leans heavily into R&B across eight tracks, while Side B returns to his core Afropop sound for the remaining seven, adding up to a tight 38-minute runtime. That structural choice shows real intentionality rather than just stacking singles together. As the closing statement, the title track pulls those two sides back into one thread, letting his falsetto and melodic instincts carry the album’s final word.
For an artist making his full-length debut, ending on the title track rather than opening with it says something about how he wanted listeners to leave the project.
