Global pop group KATSEYE brings serious party energy to “Hootie Frutti,” track three off their third EP “WILD,” released August 14, 2026.

The rollout treated this one as the EP’s centerpiece. A preview medley shared on August 11 through the HYBE Labels YouTube channel highlighted “Hootie Frutti” bursting in with an exotic Portuguese intro before settling into a pulsating rhythm, and that Latin influence carries straight through to the finished track and its music video.

Director Alfred Marroquin builds that video around an underground Brazilian party, with the group dancing through colorful outfits before water pours from the ceiling and everyone keeps moving anyway. That visual choice fits the song’s whole attitude – loose, unbothered, built purely for movement rather than a tidy narrative.

This track also marks a notable first for KATSEYE. “WILD” is their first recording without Manon Bannerman, who remains on hiatus, and Sophia Laforteza’s vocals are also absent here specifically. So four members carry “Hootie Frutti” alone, and the song still manages to sound as full and confident as anything on the group’s earlier work, including the Grammy-nominated “Gabriela” from “Beautiful Chaos.”

Coming right after the seductive “Animal” in the tracklist, “Hootie Frutti” flips the mood into pure celebration – does the Brazilian party energy match the group’s biggest singles for you?
