Fans of Lasmid have something fresh to talk about as the Takoradi singer drops his new single “Biggest Nathaniel.”
Real name Ladsmid Nathaniel Owusu, the Western Region native first caught the country’s attention when he won MTN Hitmaker Season 8 in 2019. But it was his 2022 single “Friday Night” that truly changed things – the song went viral on TikTok, topped music charts across Ghana and earned him two VGMA awards the following year including Best New Artiste and Best Hiplife Song. Since then he has built a catalogue that pulls from Afrobeats, Highlife and rap without leaning too hard on any one of them.
“Biggest Nathaniel” comes through NE Records and runs a little under three minutes. The Twi delivery hits personal while the hooks keep things accessible.
“Lasmid Biggest Nathaniel” is not a banger built for the club. It is the kind of record that lands at 2am when you need something honest to play.
