Lowbass Djy, the sensationally talented musician dropped this marvelous tune titled Soulistic
Six tracks into this run now, and after the chant-driven close of “Thi Li Li,” this one pulls toward something more atmospheric. MDU aka TRP’s presence alone signals a shift, his production style built on space rather than density.
The groove here runs slower, built around a deep bassline paired with soft, jazzy keys drifting through the mix. Percussion stays light, almost secondary to the melodic elements carrying the track’s mood.
Lowbass Djy’s usual low-end focus takes a backseat, letting MDU’s atmospheric touch shape most of the record instead. It’s a noticeable shift from the bass-forward tracks earlier in this run.
There’s a warmth running through the whole thing, less about movement and more about feeling. Even without heavy percussion driving it, the track never loses its pull.
