Tanzanian Singeli and Baibuda artist Munta Dee teams up with Chamossy Brand on a new single titled “Nimekumiss,”. A record that pulls away from his usual high-energy Singeli pace into something slower and more emotional. The title blends Swahili and English, translating simply to “I’ve Missed You,” and the song leans fully into that feeling.

Chamossy Brand is no stranger to his world either, having directed his 2025 single “Blessed” and appeared alongside him on earlier posse cuts like “Kibango.” Their chemistry here is easy and familiar, which suits a record about longing and closeness.

The production shifts gears from what Munta Dee’s core audience might expect. Instead of the fast, pulsating BPM that defines Singeli, the beat here stays warm and mid-tempo, built around melodic instrumentation that gives the record a romantic, late-night feel. That restraint works in the song’s favour.

Munta Dee’s delivery softens considerably compared to his street Singeli output. He lets the Swahili-English blend carry the emotion naturally.

Chamossy Brand steps in and matches that softer energy, adding vocal texture that deepens the longing at the centre of the record. The two voices complement each other without competing.

“Nimekumiss” works because it doesn’t try to be a Singeli record dressed in slow production. Munta Dee and Chamossy Brand commit fully to the mood and let it lead.
